Post Christmas Decorating with The Grainhouse

January 8, 2018

This post is in partnership with Christmas Tree Shops and That! However, as always all thoughts and opinions are my own.

There’s something about taking down Christmas decor that leaves our homes feeling naked, empty, and bare. What once was a room filled with twinkling lights and sweet smelling pine, is now just a room. There’s no more promise of Santa Clause, no presents topped with bows, no Dollar Spot houses on our mantles. It’s what I commonly refer to as The Post Christmas Crisis. The good news is – there’s a cure! Add in affordable pieces that will fill the void in your home. And that’s just what I did with the help of Christmas Tree Shops and their new line: The Grainhouse.

The Grainhouse

What it is: An exclusive farmhouse-inspired home and lifestyle brand featuring furniture, home textiles, and entertaining essentials. The pieces are clean, with easy lines, soothing neutral colors and engaging textures that beg you to blend and layer your way to a livable look that’s all yours!

Why I love it: The Grainhouse line mixes the best of both worlds – Farmhouse and Boho. With neutral colors, warm wood accents, and tons of texture, you can seamlessly blend Grainhouse with your existing style. Oh and did I mention they have a 5×7 rug for under $100? That’s right… their products are easy on the eyes and on the wallet!

No More Naked Green Room!

PRO TIP: Switch out your standard coffee table tray for a cutting board to add a farmhouse twist.

With the 8-foot Christmas tree packed up until next year, The Green Room (as we so lovingly call it) was feeling as naked as a newborn baby’s bum. Since it already has a farmhouse vibe, with it’s pale green walls and warm wood tones, this is where I decided to put The Grainhouse to the test. And it passed with flying (neutral) colors! From the pillows to the artwork, the pieces helped to fill the void in my space while still feeling uniquely me and staying true to my style.

What about where the tree once stood, you ask? A newly purchased console table that pairs perfectly with the neutral tones from The Grainhouse line. I mean PERFECTLY. It’s like the fern leaf print was just made for this space. And don’t even get me started on the wood-grain planters! Plant and farmhouse lovers rejoice! These babies are the best of both worlds and too good to pass up.

Now Let’s Talk About This Rug

Cause it is hand’s down my FAVORITE piece from the collection! By now you know that I’m a rug person, I have at least one in every room of the house. And the struggle is real when it comes to finding quality rugs at an affordable price. But search no further my friends! This bad boy has tassels, braids, is made in India and is under $100. WINNING! Now keep in mind, at most Christmas Tree Shops these will be in the rug section and not with the rest of the line. I had to do some digging to find The Grainhouse ones and there were only a few. (Don’t hesitate to ask an associate for help if you can’t find them!) Afraid to leave your house and brave the bitter cold? This awesome one is available online for only $169!

The Verdict Is In…

The best way to recover from The Post Christmas Crisis? Don’t walk. RUN to your nearest Christmas Tree Shop and pick up a few pieces from The Grainhouse collection before all the good stuff is gone! I promise it’ll have your home feeling warm and cozy in no time. Don’t have a Christmas Tree Shop near you? No problem! Check out the wide selection they have available online. Now hurry – GO! Before someone else buys all of those amazing rugs!

Love it all! Question: is the Christmas Tree Store and That the same store different name?

I’m pretty sure The Christmas Tree Shops changed their name and became The Christmas Tree Shops and That!
